Minutes
Present: Chairperson Susan Weintraub, Vice Chairman Glenn Suprono and Council Members Kyle Dostaler, Ted Hintz, Jr., Derek Johnson, Barbara Moore and George Pfaffenbach. Also present were Interim Town Manager John Weichsel and Recruitment Consultant Lorraine Baltimore.
Call to Order
Chairperson Weintraub called the special meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. in the Middle Haddam Public Library.
Executive Session:
- Town Manager Interviews and Discussion
- Discussion of Labor Attorney for New Town Manager Contract
- Discussion of New Town Manager Contract
A motion was made by Mr. Suprono, seconded by Mr. Hintz, to enter Executive Session at 6:30 p.m. Voted (7-0).
Executive Session ended at 9:15 p.m.
Mr. Weichsel and Ms. Baltimore left the meeting.
A motion was made by Mr. Johnson, seconded by Mr. Dostaler, for Interim Town Manager John Weichsel to contract and retain Mike Harrington from Murtha Cullina to prepare an employment contract for the new town manager, obtain an estimate to create this agreement and to represent the Town’s best interest in negotiations with the selected candidate and his or her attorney. Voted (7-0).
The meeting adjourned at 9:27 p.m.
